Isn't Egypt a land of fascination? Known for their superior intelligence, mystical rituals and magical energy this country's culture has always intrigued me to the core. So when my friend invited me to attend an Egyptian Emotional Clearing...
it was a no-brainer...come hell or high water, I'm in!
So yesterday, arms spilling over with the required participant accoutrements- yoga mat, pillow, blanket, journal and intention - I arrived with great excitement. The space had a wonderful energy and felt very safe. The lights had been dimmed and the first thing I was told to do was stand against a wall with a projected image of a free flowing heart to let the "love" enter my heart. I love this stuff; it's like coming home for me.
Hosted by a lovely lady of great spiritual knowing and insight, I was then guided to sit and learn about this cleansing ritual. A healing ceremony passed down from the temple of The Egyptian high priestess Isis, it is performed to cleanse negative emotions, to clear the pathways in preparation of new life energy in our daily life. To shift perspective for a happier life.
After our small group shared our intentions we stretched out on our mats and pillows and waited to receive the "magic." Our spiritual master, Sophia, anointed us with 12 different sacred oil formulas placed on specific points/chakras of the body. I conked out almost immediately - as if I'd been slipped a sedative - but this I know is the minds way of shutting down the chatter and allowing the body to heal. I floated in and out of sleep and various visions danced across my dreamscape - all related to the intention I set prior to the ceremony.
I have no idea how long this experience lasted - but we were gently awakened with angelic chimes. I felt very groggy and as we shared our inner observations I felt a definite positive shift in regards to my intention. There was an emotional peace that hadn't been there before.
Later when I was driving home all I could think about was how much this clearing ritual could help my "peeps" - so I am highly recommending it to anyone who would like to say bye-bye to velcro'ed issues. It was fantastic and special to do this in a small intimate setting so I suggest you grab your friends and instead of getting together to Kvetch, create a wonderful healing opportunity for yourselves. It's fun and powerful!
